New local news website launches

Wow, that is one of the ugliest websites I have ever seen. Surely they could have spent some brains or money on making it look good and easy to use.

Wish they had a web feed, who actually browses sites these days? :)
 
Somewhat subjective is to be expected... but this is a little on the extreme end of subjectivity for me. I don't like it when someone does all the thinking and opinion forming for the reader... it means you don't get to have a brain after all. I'll be giving this one a skip.
 
Site looks crappy and has the BIGGEST ADVERT I HAVE EVER SEEN on a single page! It is HUGE

Another problem is it in not hosted locally so people that are capped wont be able to read it....
 
While it's not the prettiest site, I've seen worse.

They should also consider using tabs instead of dumping everything onto one page.
 
Nah, the new SA News WEB server WebAfrica) are more worthy of an article on MyBB, Plllllease'. Thanks but NO thanks.
 
Have u Seen the article on Shaik? Where did they get the pic from? Looks like they really downed the resolution quite a bit - now he looks like a wax model from Madam Tussauds.
 
I dunno if they changed the so called horrible parts but I like the layout and from what Ive read I like the writing too.
 
Shame guys give them a break ... newspapers were never fun and exciting and they wanted to capture that newspaperness online :p ... they're going for a sort newyorktimes.com look ... its no sooooooo bad though, but its not gonna be read by kids thats for sure ... target market looks to be 40 year old businessmen
