Since yesturday at about 11am I havnt been able to connect...Prime phone says verfying username and password and just sits until it times out. I sometimes connect and then it dies after like 2 mins with the same above problem.

Sorry, typing on my phone seeing as I cant connect because of a certain internet company. Grrr!

Wierda park ext 2 went down yesterday around 12pm. I called and theu said that they were "having technicals problems". It came back on again around 8/9 last night. Your tower might still be off. Apparently this problem is being experieced on several towers.

Good luck

I was completely offline with no connection at all since last week Friday (23 October) until today (31 October)... I saw activity on the Neoflex Router AND on my desktop, but absolutely no internet connection.

I called the call centre at least 6 times, only to be told that it's a technical problem and they don't know when it will be fixed. I called again today, and got put through to the technical department (Remember this!! ASK FOR THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY!!!) and they fixed the problem while I held for approx 5 minutes.

Also, I did the firmware upgrade and the speed has almost tripled!! It's alot more stable and constant... brilliant!!

I was not impressed with the week of downtime, but the speed in which my problem was fixed and the improvement to my connection have really reminded me of what a good deal I'm getting with Neotel. I possibly could have had the problem solved earlier, but not until today was I told I had to speak to the technical department! If you follow the phone prompts for technical support, why don't you get put through to they guys who actually know what they're doing in the first place!

Anyway, problem fixed... and the moral of the story is ASK FOR THE TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT AS SOON AS YOUR CALL IS ANSWERED!!

Well done Neotel... still room for improvement, but very happy with my package at the mo.

Yeah, my connections been up and running today at good speeds so I'm glad it's back to normal....for now.

I seem to have similar problems this morning. Phone shows 1 bar signal instead of the usual 4 and my RSSI has gone from 83 to 99. I can't connect to the internet and my voice telephony is also not working.

I've tried calling the call center from my landline, but I keep getting the line engaged tone.

I eventually got through to the call center. Seems there's maintenance underway and a whole bunch of areas are affected (e.g. Cresta, Lonehill, Paulshof & Kyalami).

Krugersdorp were down as well when I left home this morning, couldn't even make a call. Call centre said they are aware of the issue.

Hope they sort it out quickly.

I also got a problem and my phone freezes after a while and it happened 3 times this morning, I also called the call centre and got through when calling the 3rd time and they also stated that the some of the base stations are down.

The LCD display only displays black the whole display when the phone is freezing

same issues here in Northcliff. The PER all of a sudden went above 5% too:sick:

Has this been resolved? Had zero connectivity in Douglasdale this morning.

I now have connectivity but watching a file downloading at between 0.1 to 3 kbytes/s.

Painful. Not a option to recommend to people anymore.

It seems that their 'problem' is doing a 'round-robin'. Somewhere on the Neotel grid a tower or 2 is down, moving to the next. It's like ESKOM's load-shedding. Maybe it is exactly like ESKOM's load-shedding ???? Not enough bandwidth. Now cutting off tower P472 and giving some to P136???

If it is for maintenance I can understand it BUT for so long and so frequent ???

I have had almost zero connection since last Thursday.

I have given them notice. We will see if I have any connection at all till the end of the month.

My phone seemed to have packed up today...screen keeps spazzing out..freezes. 2nd one happen to me like this. Got a new one same day everything seems all good now.

I had the same this morning. NO signal... Seems to be sort of fine now however. I think I am going the external antenna route in any case, hoping to sort reception. Neotel is not off to a good start with me.

Seems quiet a few areas were down this morning.
I have an external antenna and had no connectivity on the west rand, seems to be better but not as it was before since the big storm, still raining and have:
