Been trying to find some decent 1-off miniseries, recent ones that i have watched:

Over There
Generation Kill
The State Within
Life on Mars

Other possible Suggestions ?
 
Band of Brothers.
 
Jericho, though they were convinced to make a 7 episode second season.

Seems you like BBC

Life on Mars was 2 seasons.. State within is just a crib on that.

Try Survivors, Criminal Justice, and any of the BBC ones that are on between 8pm and 11pm

Got that , but refuse to watch it until i get my hands on the 2 part mini series of Dune (same cast)
 
Comte de Monte Cristo, Le IMDb

Best version of The Count of Monte Cristo I have ever seen. About 8hrs or so long which probably brings more of the book across compared to all the other versions.
