You will get there. But as they always say. Everything in moderation...including gaming or you will be 35, overweight with no social life!

lol

I actually after Friday have a small break in the UNISA exam period. Might actually put in some game time but not the 10 hrs *interrupted by a toilet break sessions* I used to do.

Personally cannot wait for CODMW2 ... going to be a great game :)

I can believe it. When I was very into LAN games I moved in with a housemate who was about 35, FAT, with no social life who would just stay home and play games. He kicked me out because I was never home! How sad! He wanted a gaming buddy, not a housemate. He's still fat and a loser.

Most non gamers percieve gamers are geeks which I really resent. Unfortunately the stats say otherwise.

I went through a patch in my early twenties when i just stopped playing games for 3 years.
I fell in love with gaming when the seventh generation of consoles were released.
I reckon most gamers from the 8 bit era and up will be playing games for the rest of their lives because we and the games are evolving to a point where its not seen as a kids thing anymore.
Its as natural as watching a movie.

Nicely put ;)

8 Bit ... Excite Bike, Mario Bro's ... the good 'ol days :o

Whats the difference between a 35 year old fat, bummed gamer and 35 year old fat, bummed TV watcher. Gaming is a lazy activity.
Things which does not require a lot of physical activity obviously tends to attract lazy people. Nothing really to debate.

However...

REAL gamers may be 35, but they are skinny because of undernourishment and definately not bummed because they just pwned mr fatty average gamer in counterstrike.

alot of gamers i know do have social lives but they really have to make the effort to go out.

I dont know - i cant seem myself gaming 15 years from now. Things will just change and i will get fat , old but wont be gaming :p Its wierd how many times ive been at Zaps and a 40 yr oldish guy with his wife and kids comes in to buy games. He stands at the front desk going on about all the latest games and how good the last titles were etc. shouldnt you be having wine tasting dinners or playing golf :)

Ha,ha matt the shop is owned by 2 40 year old gamers.

You'd be surprised how many old ballies play games.
We have a clan member in his 60's that is an avid gamer. Mainly plays bf2, but as far as I know doesn't shy away from any games. Got another member that is in his 50's too, also an avid bf2 player. Got quite a few guys in their 40's, a large number in their 30's, 20's down to the youngsters (mostly kids of members), although we have some pretty awesome members still in their teens.
