Prepaid phones in Kashmir banned

Strange... A friend of mine went to India in February and he could not get a prepaid sim because of all the requirements. If he wanted one he needed to get a temporary identity document from the South African embassy because they do not sell prepaid sims to foreigners carry only passports.

If you are criminal and you want to blow up something, getting a mobile connect is the least of your worries and they will not be hindered by this constraint.

Its the same in Dubai, you cannot buy a prepay sim card unless you have a residency visa

It won't stop the "Evil Bastards" from doing evil things, but it will certainly make life a tad more difficult for them.

Prepaid phones banned

The article's title bears no relation to the fact that this is in respect of Kashmir, India and not SA  and leaves the reader with unnecessary concern.

This is also the second time I have seen this same article flighted with the same "smokes and daggers" headline ... unless of course I have just experienced another case of de ja vu
