The leader of South Africa's World Cup organising committee has warned England they will need to have Africa on their side if they are to survive the first round of voting to host the 2018 finals.

Danny Jordaan, the chief executive of the committee planning for next year's tournament, expects there to be a high-profile casualty when polling gets under way among the 24 members of the FIFA executive committee in December 2010 and has added his voice to that of CONCACAF federation chief Jack Warner to warn the England bid team against complacency.

Actually, England will need all the help that they can get to host the 2018 WC. Have you seen the other counties bidding?

2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup bids

FIFA will propably give the 2018 WC to Europe, but there are 3 other European bids.

Also, if FIFA really want to spread the game around the world, there are strong bids from Australia (though stadiums are a problem), Quatar and Indonesia.
 
no man, you not reading what I'm saying... in underlying terms SA is demanding england do some convincing to Africa that they can get the 2018 WC... makes us look like money hungry whores

Well, sadly it won't be the first time that votes are bought. Remember how we lost to Germany for the 2006 WC? :sick:

Fishfly... I think you need to realise that it is common practice.... many a bid has been won or lost through "bribery"
