Is this a good deal at PCZone? core2duo n\b - R 5999

Hi Guys

So i been looking around and found this:

HP Compaq 610S
core2duo T5870 2.0ghz
2gig DDR 800 ram
320gig hd
X3100 graphics
windows 7 professional

for R 5999.

its the only core2duo i found under 6k.

Is this a good deal?
Is buying from PC Zone a good idea?
 
I've never dealt with PC Zone, but it seems to be a very decent price - most others I've seen are around R6600 to R7500.

One of the distributors I'm listed with has a price of R6380 incl. and another is R6040 incl.

I just picked me up a brand new HP Compaq 615 (AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 2.1GHZ) for R3800 on Bid or Buy - sealed in the box with full warranty... lovely machine :)

You know it's a laptop right? Sure, a desktop with those specs can be built for much, much less - if you can build a brand new laptop with these specs for this price, please let me know. :) :p

wow that is good! but I had my eye on that compaq with AMD for about R4200
 
Not a bad price but just remember you take your chances on after sales service and support from PC Zone, one has to say it's somewhat lacking at the best of times.
