Burglar caught red-handed

A teenage burglar was caught red-handed as he fled from a Westville home yesterday.

Constable Stephen Clark said police received a call from a resident at about 11am, reporting that a man had been seen jumping over a wall into a property.

Officers from the Metro Dog Unit and SAPS Westville Crime Prevention responded immediately."

Clark said metro police Inspector Manuel Jardine and Constable Pierre Matthee arrived first at the scene and spotted the 18-year-old as he left the property with a bag of stolen goods.

The man attempted to flee but was brought down by a metro police dog and arrested.

Good dog. Scum broke into my neighbours house a few years ago. Come out crying after the police dog had introduced himself :D

special tatics units camped in a house across the road from my place about 4 years back after inside info on a break in by a gang of 5. It happened, and there was blood, all 5 shot dead within 20 odd seconds, all were armed, they fired prob 1 shot at the undercover cops while they fired about 30 rounds from auto's at them. Was quite a scene, 1 chopper, 5 Chevy Lumina's, and 3 police mourge vans.

That sounds awesome. Its really imperative that the cops are a force to be reckoned with. Criminals should fear them. In most cases unfortunately our police force is a joke... very badly trained and funded.
 
I wonder if there is a stat that would indicate how many houses are broken into that have dogs and how many are broken into that do not have dogs.
