What type of email user are you?

How many emails do you receive per day?

depends tho.. i'd say on avg 10 threads a day(excl notifications and other spammy automated things etc). But other times if i had to add up social networking mail it could be as high as 30+
 
I get about 60 e-mails a day, mostly work related (about 60%) and I must be honest, it takes me longer to respond to personal e-mails than work ones.:rolleyes:
 
I absolutely hate for a email to lie in my inbox so i reply as quick as possible.

I also hate it when people take ages to get back to me, so its a two way street with me
 
Over 40, but that's more work related.

My gmail is is about half that.

Response time - work wise, prompt if needed.

Personally, I don't particularly care, it comes down to whom I prioritize or deem to be important :p :D
 
I get about 50 - 70 a day ... a good 60% of which is work related. The number can fluctuate and get up to 80 - 90 in a day. Most of my emails will get a response within hours of receipt.

Now one of my colleagues, on the other hand, says he gets an average of 100+ a day and almost all of that is work related :eek:

It makes sense, most my friends on the other end of the email and i respond to work emails before they even arrive lol but with personal emails we sometimes take 2 - 4days sometimes a week :o
a close female friend told me she sometimes ends up responding to work emails around midnight early morning from home :eek:

I agree. But try sifting through tons of spam (joke&attachemts which are just
growing in size) everyday and the last thing you want to see in the morning is your pc.

i get very little joke emails. And if i do i usually only look at them later on.

I also use Gmail so my spam is minimal.
 
I get about 150-200 emails a day, about 70 require responses which happens within the hour (if information is available or in my head), 30 require action at a later date and about the other 70 are things I need to read, so I am in the know - but don't require me to respond. I do have to read them. I probably get about 10 emails that I can ignore, but I open them anyway and file them in "Unsorted" and about 20 personal emails.

I hate having items in my inbox, max 20 on a bad day. Otherwise things get read and folderized or marked for follow up if needed.

On that note, today has been rather slow.
 
i check email in the morning and reply to what i need to reply.
with skype/gtalk/etc around i got other (faster) ways of sending and receiving messages.
