In what some might call a more exciting weekend in English Premier League football , most Manchester United fans will be throwing a fit due to a lackluster performance by the reigning champions in what seemed to be a runaway victory for the Red Devil's.

All of us were surprised at the way Ferguson approached this game , sending out a negative 4-5-1 starting XI.What makes it worse , is the fact that Aston Villa side hasn't won at Old Trafford since 1983! On the other hand Aston Villa went out all fired up and the top 4 inpired Aston Villa gave Manchester United a run for there money.

Villa went ahead and got the lead through a wonderful header by Agbonlahor. Regardless of this , Manchesrer United kept the pressure and persisted which lead to Rooney creating a chance for himself but unfortunately hitting the crossbar.

With a second half change , Michael Owen replaced the injured Ryan Giggs to bring in some much needed firepower upfront. Much to United fans amazement , United continued to dominate proceedings with 78% of the possession yet not scoring one goal in the entire match.

For many United fans , this was a annoying result and the way Sir Alex Ferguson approached the game has got many fans talking about the future of Sir Alex at Old Trafford with rumours creeping up of 'The Special One' aka Jose Mourinho approaching the Red Devil's managerial seat in a few seasons.

This was one of those days , that just didn't go United's way. Even with Chelsea drawing against Everton in an exciting 3-3 game and the possibility of gaining 3 points to go level with Chelsea. The Red Devil's didn't have what it takes to get the 3 points and put pressure on Chelsea

The Red Devils find themselves 3 points behind Chelsea , with Aston Villa now moving up into 3rd spot. The pack are chasing and it is not up to the lads to move on with the Title Race with a win against Wolves this Tuesday.

One thing is for sure , this is going to be one of the most exciting races towards the Title. Lets get ready for a showdown come the end of the season.

United just didn't have that magic touch tonight in front of goals...

I was really shocked at the way chelsea went at everton... no defence

Watching United today , made me realize that we really miss Ronaldo.

He could have maybe changed the game with converting on the set pieces into goals or creating a touch of brilliance.

I just hope , we manage to get together and bounce back with a win on Tuesday.

Rooney needs to get back to playing on the left , he was the best there last year , and thats why he was recognized as a world class player. Now that he plays a central role ,i'm not to impressed by him because he is not an striker like Torres or David Villa.

Maybe United should drop Berbatov upfront with Rooney playing of him?

its one game, just one game & still one 3 points in it on the log

I stopped reading at this point:

What a load of bollocks. Why post this **** here.

Dude, this is a 2nd article from your blog and its terribly written. Spell players names correctly please and if anyone thinks that playing Villa is a runaway win they are sorely mistaken! Didn't even get as far as poolmania, you write rubbish!

Rooney on the left? He was unhappy there, he needs the central role just behind the target man!!!

Didn't realize that it was you who wrote that. I'm not bothered about spelling mistakes or opinions. What I want to know is who are these supposed fans who are questioning Ferguson as you say it?

He's using his bias judgement in the post :D People believe in SAF... only pundants and opposition would be moaning about SAF :)

go see. l0l ...almost everyone...but anytime we lose...we all go crazy especially against Wayne Rooney...

people seem to call for his head when we lose and but when we win he is like a God, hahah

so in other words, almost everyone in that forum, is retarded? :D

no true united fan would ever call for saf to leave, willing to bet that every person on that forum calling for him leave - aren't from england, and dont watch any other team besides united play

In short. Glory Hunters.

The glory hunters wanted him gone when they went through that barren spell without winning the league 3 years in a row. Then they went on to win 3 in a row :erm:

Probably the same fans.

Exactly,
Its interesting to see how many Barca fans have popped up locally over the past 2 years :)

its make me wonder how people who support Barca and Real madrid used to watch there matches 2 years ago...
i know supersport started getting better coverage of La Liga from this year.
