I have found an external antenna for it. I've always been looking for it without success. But now, there's my solution!

Too bad it's laying all the way in Germany? I assume combined with shipping costs this thingy will set you back R600-R700 ?
 
If you have obtained your Novatel card through VodaCom you can pick up an antenna for FREE from VodaWorld or they will courier it to you.
 
Hi, i got the 3g antenna from a vodashop. But it is a OPTION 3g antenna. The connector doesn't fit my novatel u630. Will it work if I make the connector fit. i.e cut it up and solder it onto my u630?

BennieB, rather arrange with a Vodashop to swap your antenna for a pukka Novatel one.
 
You can buy a local 3G antenna at Poynting, if the freebie does not rock your boat.

Vodaworld swapped the Option antenna, that the Vodashop originally gave me, for a Novatel one without any problems.

Some advice: Never take the RF connector off and replace it with your own. You might end up with an impedence mismatch making the performance poorer than before and potentially destroying your card. You might mess up the VSWR and get max power reflected back into the circuitry.
