How to call a number in South Africa for cheap?

Hello respected forum members ;),

I just found this forum while searching for some information about how to call a mobile phone for cheap in ZA.

I live in Mauritius, i have some relatives who are in South Africa for holidayz. They bought a Sim Card, i dont know from which company ( number is something like : 27733...

Can anyone tell me which company does this mobile phne number belongs to ?

Anyway cheap way of calling this mobile phone num? something like skype, any good VOIP !

They can call you, cheap.

Ask them to dial 0879412345, they will get charged local calling rates

Your best bet is to look at one of the Betamax offerings (VoipRaider, VoipCheap, VoipBuster etc) or Skype. There's many other good telephone services out there too (VoipJet, Net2Phone, DialPad). They'll either need a credit card and/or a PayPal account, a 56kbps connection and they're set.
