Dominic Cull is one of the premier telecommunications lawyers in South Africa today. Dominic specialises in electronic communications law with a focus on under-serviced areas and wireless connectivity. Amongst other things he acts as a regulatory advisor to the Internet Service Providers' Association (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/211694-ISPA?highlight=ISPA)(ISPA), an independent adjudicator for the Wireless Application Service Providers' Association (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/307071-WASPA-Wireless-Application-Service-Provider-s-Association?highlight=WASPA) (WASPA) and is the driving force behind the Wireless Access Providers' Association (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/313517-Wireless-Access-Providers-Association-(WAPA)?p=5632823#post5632823) (WAPA), an industry self-regulatory body formed in November 2006 to represent the interests of wireless internet service providers and others.

A further area of specialisation is online media where clients include the Online Publisher's Association (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/313519-Online-Publishers-Association-(OPA)?p=5632867#post5632867) (OPA) and large online publishing houses. Dominic also lectures Telecommunications Law at Master's level at the University of Cape Town.

Despite all of this he gives every appearance of having a sense of humour. Outside of law time is spent with family, playing competitive Frisbee and doing sports development work.

Dominic Cull specialises in regulatory issues in the electronic communications industry, acting as the regulatory advisor to, inter alia, the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) and the Wireless Access Providers Association (WAPA). He is also a long-standing independent adjudicator for the Wireless Application Service Providers’ Association (WASPA) with an advanced understanding of legal issues relevant to the WASP and mobile content industry.

Dominic has extensive experience in dealing with ICASA, the Department of Communications (DoC), the Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA) and the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Communications (PPCC) and the development and enforcement of the regulatory framework under the electronic communications act.
