EPL (Premier League) vs La Liga

Which is stronger in your eyes?

I'm going with Premier League. Alot of depth and have been the best league for the past 3-4 years.

ALways had a club in the semi's if not 2 0r 3 and always in the final since 2007.

Plus this year with the likes of Spurs , City and Villa emerging and a mega team like Liverpool dropping off , we can see the change in the EPL.

Realistically Manchester United , Arsenal or Chelsea can win the UCL this year with Chelsea being the more likely to do it...

Also next year i believe City will be a mega force in Europe if they get into the top 4.

Whats your views?
 
Premier League, still think it's the most exciting, but I've got to admit that La Liga has the bulk of the most skilled players.
 
Uber FAIL thread. Been rehashed many a time. About as useful as Cantera's Messi/Ronaldo threads.

It's not about the players, it's about the excitement of the games, the 4-3's, the 3-3's, the Burnleys of this world beating Man United. The fact that not a single side lies down (besides Birmingham and Blackburn against Man U). There is no doubt that the Premiership is a lot more competitive than La Liga.

Anyway, we've been through this. Done before and proved time and time again.
 
The EPL would probably win if you were discussing the best advertised/known league in the world.

I know right! every game is exciting even watching the (so called ) lower teams play like the recent game of Stoke and Fulham or when minnows sneak a win in the dying minutes against one of the top sides (e.g. when Liverpool beat Villa..:whistle:)
 
What makes EPL interesting for me is the noise that the fans make and commentary. I watch La Liga, but I don't get the same vibe as EPL matches.

And yes EPL is marketed better than the rest.

EPL is the best. Its the only league I have any emotional attachment to. I watch most of the games if I get the chance. I love seeing Portsmouth taking down Liverpool or Fulham demolishing Man Utd. Then I love the intense rivalries between City and United, Chelsea and Fulham etc. etc. The EPL has such a strong history. I'm sure the Spanish leagues do too but because I lived in England that history and those rivalries mean so much more :D

Premier League rules the World Cup

England leads the way again as the Premier League supplies the most players for the World Cup in South Africa which kicks off on Friday.

The Premier League boasts 119 World Cup players, but the number could drop by one if Chelsea's Didier Drogba is really ruled out of the tournament with his arm fracture and his Ivory Coast coach Sven Goran Eriksson calls up a replacement who plays elsewhere.

The big five European leagues top the contingents as they did for the 2006 edition, providing 386 and thus more than half of the 736 players in the 32 teams' 23-player squads.

England's 119 (103 in 2006) are followed by Germany's 84 (75), Italy has 80 (61), Spain 59 (51) and France 44 (56). The order remains the same when only the foreign players in the leagues are counted: England 96, Germany 61, Italy 57, Spain 39, France 33.

2000 - 2008 Spain was the best league.
2008- present hands down EPL is the best
