Blackberry & SKYPE or FRING

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at buying two 8520's on a Vodacom 315 Top-Up plan.

The guys at Vodashop can't tell me if SKYPE or FRING will work on the 8520's :erm: - maybe they need a bit more training ;)

Anyway, can anyone tell me the answers?

Also, if I want to use the phones as modems, can you connect via a USB cable or only by Bluetooth? Vodashop don't know :(

Is a USB cable faster upload & download that Bluetooth?

Lastly, does anyone know where I'd be able to buy them new for cash at a good price? I think that might work out better than the Top-Up. I'm based in Umhlanga Rocks, KZN.

Hilton: fring is not supported on any Blackberry devices. Well not yet anyway..
 
hey there. as far as i know, usb is faster but bluetooth is possible. remember, you get charged for data if you teather ur BB unless ur using software like mobishark or teatherberry. skype does work on blackberry but only selected models you can go to skype.com/m on ur bb to check or just go to the skype website for a list of supported devices. hope this helps!!
