I thinks its a decent phone,even though imo the launch price is steep...
The main downsides spec wise is the 128mb RAM & the slowish 434 MHz CPU...
The capacitive touchscreen,"Comes With Music" ability & pleasing design is welcome though

R6999? That justifies a "Comes With Music" ability and a real downgrade of a phone. Nexus One, here I come...

How is it better than the 5800? Seems like a downgrade to me, at a much higher price 
Although it sounds like it has a better camera.
I like the resistive touchscreen of the 5800, means it supports both fingers and a stylus. That allows for handwriting recognition and using apps where the developers didn't think to make the interface objects big enough for fingers (cough*MXit*cough).
Not to mention the fun drawing and sticky notes apps.
