HoN/ Heroes of newerth

Gonna get even better with the new patch coming up.

It's getting revolunionary replay system.

*You gonna be able to watch every game you ever played. Everythng is stored on their server.
* It's gonna be backwards compatible so you can watch replays of earlier version.
* You can forward /rewind /skip to any place you want to. Slow down time, change the camera angle, speed up the game put on auto follow.
* View from someone else's perspective, check out how they play, how the moved camera, where they clicked, everything.
*The GUI has been designed from ground up with Esports in mind so all the important stuff is displayed on screen. If somethings missing someone can just mod the GUI.
*Best part of all, a 60 minute replay is 5Megs.

Not to mention the matchmaking getting introduced. They also gonna have an automated Tournament system which will also allow the hosting of older versions of HoN so that people can choose to play tourneys with "Current Stable Version"
or newest map.

S2 is basically creating the ultimate online platform which might make battle.net 2 look like a joke.
I love it :)

wait - so will I be able to view a replay from 3 months ago? are they keeping the replays from the beta?

awesome game :D they should just remove the concede option :D hate it when people concede :D

Love this game!

Can't wait for the next patch, the new swiftblade is going to be insane!

I played it for a bit and it was great.

I hope they take it a step foward and do all the other maps (TD etc)

I highly doubt S2 will do this, but, once the map editor is released I am sure the fans will make quick work of some td's.

As I understand it, but I think it'll only be up until a certain amount of months. Not sure if the system was in place at the very start of the beta.

A few months ago S2 said they were making a small TD map in their spare time as an "example map" for map makers.

They also said that if a certain user map becomes very popular they'll host it in the future.

Awesome game. There is one huge problem however. The community...

Its SO hard to find a game with decent people, or is it just me???

Everyone is so worried about their precious "psr" that they totally forget what the game is about. They kick people with low psr, even if they are good players. That's so stupid. Really. Then all the "pro's" (or at least they think they are) hog the servers the whole night with games like "1700+ psr or kick" etc.

Remember the good old DoTA days where you'd just join a game and play. There was no such nonsense as psr.

The other night we played a 2v2 and it was a really tight game. Really, really tight. We won fair & square, even though it was just by a hair. The other 2 okes, which were my online buddies now hate me. They chuned me and told me to **** off and that i'm a cheater/hacker. This was because they lost 5+- psr in that game.

How do you guys suggest we resolve this dilemma with point players? What are the guys that play for fun supposed to do when the point hungry players hog the servers with their selfish requirement of you being a 1700 psr player?

Peace.

If you suck you suck, I dont allow anyone in my games who are lower than 1500 PSR or have lower than a 1:1 K:D. Do you think it is fair that you ruin the game for the team you are on? Have you preordered or do you intend to buy the game and would like to keep your account on good standings?

some people play HoN as if their life is depending on it - honestly, what do you get if you make it to 2000+ psr..... do you win a prize?

what i hate most is the players that die, then watch YOU play, and then comment on almost EVERY MOVE - why did you do this, why that? "wtf are you doing!!?" etc, etc..

if I die I can see some other players also doing stupid moves - it's almost like you see everything in slow motion if it's not you that is playing - but I don't go shouting at the guys on my team like a lunatic...because everyone plays different and re-acts differently...

Its not about the PSR, its about being competitive as there is a growing competitive scene. DO Gaming is starting a HON league this year, there are 100's of international comps already. People want to get better not play against people who cant play.

agreed, but Token has a point - i've seen games, where my own Teammate k@ked everyone out that we "can't play", yet he was the only one with 0 kills - the rest of us had like 4 or more kills. (i personally knew him too)

and to the babies that cry out "help me! Help me!", die, and then yell "Why didn't anyone HELP ME?!" after they were pushing into a lane alone - please stop doing that.
