IW.net sucking more and more each day

I don't know about you guys, but lately I'm battling it get games. And the moment I get into a game its laggy as hell.:cry: I officially hate IW.net Infinity Ward made a really awesome game, and then messed it up by not having dedicated servers. If I had to meet the guy who thought of this stupid system. I probably would deck him one in his face, just to say thanks;)
 
You seem to be having problems while i do not, i played last night with no problems.

Are you sure your internet connection is fine?

I completely agree with you ZorAxe. Even if I had a 10MB fibre optic line I still have grievances with the current system. The whole architecture of best host/matchmaking is flawed (old news). I prefer dedicated servers, only because the playing experience is nicer.

It is soooo annoying when you jamming along and racking up a good kdr only to find the host quits. Then the periodic lags. For example if someone on the hosts lan browses a web page. Soooooo annoying.

The dude the passed this system I would feed curry and brooklax and only rough sandpaper to use as toilet paper.
 
Bloody lag and waiting for games is becoming a nuisance, the multiplayer is still great though.
 
The system was even worse than ever before last night. If this continues, we will stop playing this game and move on to the next.
 
I'd like to see the ability to add a friend to your group and join a FFA match since it's almost impossible to invite someone to a game... that message always comes up saying sever full when their is still 3 spots open? dunno if anyone else is getting this but it's damn annoying.

I get this all the time.

Sometimes even when my mate invites me to join his party and his the only one in it. it says unable to connect to host. I get this all the time.....
 
IW tried to reinvent the wheel, IWnet is a good concept but new and buggy, without dedicated as an option MW2 multiplayer will continue to suck.

WTF, I played fine two days ago. Go online tonight and all of a sudden takes forever for MW2 to load (uses quite a bit of bandwidth activity while starting) and now out of the blue my nat is on strict??? I am the only one at home who touches my router, and I have changed nothing?!?!? Two days ago it reported it as being open?!?!?

I have a linksys running DD-WRT firmware, ISP is iBurst.... been playing for a month and a half and my NAT has always shown as open. So either there has been a steam change or iBurst is up to shyte! Well fark that... going to watch Heroes then.

I'm getting irritated by this, my K/D ratio is now more farked up then the ANC... I'd shoot a whole clip at someone, wait... then get knifed. Or people become ninjas, and the stop, then teleport 5 meters, stop, teleport...

So now I just knife everyone. Shooting people isn't working as well as hoped (unless you have a shotgun, and you spray the entire room).

It's frustrating to say the least, because it's usually 3-5 okes that get hit by horrid lag, and then we just get farked up (at times I can't move). I know it's not my connection, because 60% of the time the connection is on full bars, and the only other pc in the house in next to me... not using internet.
 
Something is horribly wrong, I can not find games, can not connect to a lot of my steam friends

This is really irritating
Maybe so irritating that I will stop playing, but who cares as IW got their money out of me already!!!!!
 
My Win 7 did an update on Tuesday, I wonder if it has changed anything on the MS firewall?? Forgot about that. Will have to check.
 
I agree Slayer. This game is starting to irritate the crap out of me. Steam kicked me last night for about 20 minutes where I could not connect to anything whatsoever.

IF you are lucky enough to find a game it is fine for the first 3 minutes then the LAG hits and either you get kicked or the host gets transferred to a new one which inevitably fails and you have to start looking for a new one.

COD4 is probably still an option, but after playing MW2 who would want to go back to Chinatown to have the crap camped out of you? No thanks.

Slayer, if you find something else worth while, let me know!

IRG, I do not think it is an update issue, as I last updated win7 a month ago, and I am getting a lot of issues plaing online with MW2

That is going to be hard, as there is not alot of "new" FPS games with a huge following in SA


IW needs to give us an option to use dedicated servers (will probably never happen) or someone need to hack/crack the game so that we can........

has anyone else noticed extreme lags during games in the past few days? I have played past few days and was always laggy even with 4mb line hosts. My mate hosted this past weekend and the game worked fine. No lags. but since monday games have been laggy. Even other players hosted with 4mb lines and still laggy.....
