Rather give people like afrihost/digichilli/Saol/Screamer etc their own forum not the devil

Why do you not post here: Forum Suggestions (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=123)?

Because those are just ISP's, this isn't a forum for TelkomISP's ADSL accounts, it's for their entire new network and service.
The ones you listed are just reselling bandwidth from the first tier ISP's and have nothing to do with the actual ADSL connection you use. A forum for each one of those wouldn't make much sense.

It's quite simple really. Some of us don't hate the 'devil'. Nor do we subscribe to the likes of Afrihost/Digichilli/SAOL/Screamer.

looking at how rarely anyone posts in here.. I was just thinking it's a waste of space ^_^
Far more people are interested in ways to save money rather than ways to get a shafting imo

So why are you posting here? Have you done your homework on what is happening with Telkom 3G?
BTW their current pre-roll out mobile data offering is already cheaper than anyone else's...

I bought the gateway router at Telkom, so month end I'm going to get the sim card! Bye bye Vodacom 3G! Hello Do 3G!

I said goodbye to Vodacom about 6 months ago, and could not be happier.
Not one problem and with VC I had constant problems.

I use Telkom 3G in Pretoria, JHB airport and PE. Awesome!!! They will have over 1500 base stations on air by April 2010.

I have been using Do 3G for about a year now. Telkom offers one of the cheapest HSDPA solutions currently. Definitely far from being shafted. Also the customer service centre helpline is quick. Don't knock till you tried it.

If you actually did a bit of research you will find that Telkom's offering is one of the best in the market. I reach download speeds of about 5mbps at all times of the day. Let's see if any of the service providers can do that? You dwell alot upon their sins of their past. Telkom realizes that the markets have changed and that people are less reliant on fixed line since companies such as Neotel offer convergence services that either better or are comparitive to fixed line rates. Now for Telkom the strategy is either shape up or ship out.

Does anyone know if Do3G rolls over like MTN?
nm: Unused data (http://www.telkom.co.za/products_services/w-cdma/do_move/service_conditions.html), minutes and SMS's will expire at month end.
Don't have coverage here yet anyway. Is this only for contracts and how long is the contract period or is there pre-paid option as well?

You only pay 30 cent per meg out of bundle, so it is not a big issue.

hi moggie
i dont think they will make the 1500- 3g towers this april as the 2g - rollout has also started. Also the backhaul issues are becoming serious - they might be going to plan B. Which is trench and run fibre to the towers that are far from exchanges.

Hi there!! I was careful with my wording... I did not say that all 1500 towers would be 3g capable by April, but that they would be on air!
