Can anybody recommend a good prepaid network to get onto when in the usa?

I need to make calls and will need internet access (where i will be staying the hotel charges like $12 per day for wifi access).

When i was in the uk i got a great deal, unlimited internet, 100 free international minutes and 10 pounds airtime.

Hoping to finding something similar.

Hope you guys can help

lol that not bad $12 if I was you then I would rape the line of there's

I need the internet to check mail, and just general browsing for holiday stuff to do everyday and to book the rest of my holiday. I will probably be doing this only like once everyday. To pay $12 everyday for wifi access is a bit crap. And 100mb on a prepaid is gonna get klapped quick.

A lot of service stations and restaurants have free wifi in the USA.

Also, Starbucks charge something like USD4 for two hours - at least you can get a cup of coffee with it.

I used an AT&T prepaid when I was there, but it wasn't cheap.

I was in the USA for 3 months last year... despite how unbelievable it is, there is no proper prepaid option that will give you gprs access :(

I couldn't believe it when I first heard, but after 2 weeks of research I couldn't find anything that could suit me.

I ended up getting a t-mobile prepaid sim, no data (there is a lame portal that gives you access to espn and cnn headlines, that's all)...

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me... It looks like I'll be going back and I'd love a better option.

That said, I found lots of good wifi coverage so it was just during work that I had no gprs on my phone (but normal internet access on work PC)
