Live F1 anywhere but Supersport?

I know this has been asked many times, and googling produces lots of hopefuls but nothing I can actually watch.

Does anyone know where a person might be able to watch Formula One races this year other than DSTV / Supersport? Live streams? Even a tiny pixellated little window @ 30 kbps?

It just burns my butt (and my budget) to have the full DSTV bouquet switched on every March and off again in November just so I can watch F1. Otherwise the TV stays off. Wife and I don't watch anything else. As in seriously NOTHING: No movies, rugby, cricket or anything. Just F1. What's the subscription fee now? R499? Pfft. Maybe I'll just follow the live timing, listen to the BBC radio feed, and catch up with the highlights on Youtube. Sigh.
 
that surprises me to no ends. i'm quite intruiged. what does a tarceroute show?

I don't even have an idea how to do trace route but when I have been on local only on my Telkom account I was able to watch rugby on justin.tv
 
Thanks - I'd seen justin.tv, but don't know if they will be streaming F1 races live. Perhaps I'll just have to wait and see. Yep - my Flagfox reports them as being in Pretoria. Akamai servers?

IIRC I did see live streaming last year of F1.

Problem is that you will not be able to tell until the first race or at least practice/qualifying sessions.

Justin.tv is really the only service I have ever used. Maybe someone else can recommend other.

There are also torrents floating around reasonably quickly after the event, including practice sessions and quallies.

Wow, what do you know? It IS local. Hosted on the Telkom network.
 
Use the local pub, they will show most of the races as there is not much other sport ona Sund aft.

IMO though its worth it to pay the subs and watch the youngsters kick Schumis ass.
