I recently came across this site whilst looking for tv series dvds:
http://dvdsetshop.co.za/

The prices are REALLY cheap,Star Trek Voyager Seasons 1-7 DVD Boxset for R896.60 .It's 999 for one season at musica and 300-400 per season on kalahari.
To get to the point has anyone used the site before,I searched the forums and found nothing.
Are they reliable?Looks too good to be true and I dont wanna buy a bunch of things only for them not to arrive.
Your feedback will be rewarded with a block of the finest cheddar?:D

The biggest complaint most of the people have is that when you order something from them you receive fakes. Episodes recorded from TV. They did not even bother to remove the TV station’s logo.

:(

Eish. Was hoping that I got lucky!

Thanks for the linky!

haha... piracy FAIL! Now this site really ought to be reported to SAFACT! :D

Well i've done some googling and it seems like an international site, site is freaking everywhere!
Well anyways, anyone know where I could get Star trek voyager on the cheap locally?Kalahari and take2 are a bit pricey.

amazing how much effort they but in guarantee pages, mission, user agreement - the little detail of using the flag ... looks better than most legit shops ;-)

Domain is registered from overseas...

Site is a con, has no physical address or contact number

no... and I can strongly suggest that you DO NOT WANT TO give your credit card number to Chinese pirates.

But hey... it's your life.

DVDsetshop.co.za - WATCH OUT FOR THEM - THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Hi everyone,
I have just been scammed by these guys. They have managed to register a South African domain from Australia and are sending their copied DVD's from China, Hong Kong. My order was intercepted by the SARS officials at Oliver Tambo International Airport who in turn handed them over to the South African Frogery and Counterfeit unit. They then contacted me and soon I was in trouble for "ordering" copies DVD's even though I didn't realise they are copies at the time. Needless to say, I am now minus my money and the discs I ordered in good faith and in trouble with the authorities. I have co-operated with the authorities as far as possible and hopefully this website which is scamming everyone will soon be shut down. When I wrote to the customer feedback section on the www.dvdsetshop.co.za website about this they ignored me. Be very careful as they are not legitimate and are out to take your money.

The silly thing is not all their DVD's are that cheap ... I wanted the set of Agatha Christies Poirot and they were gonna charge R1200 and on Amazon I just bought the same (legitimate set) for R544.00 ... okay granted it was on sale! :)
Sorry about the trouble you experienced bud!

Ja, if you had googled you would have seen this thread mentioned. always check the internet first before you use a new retailer. sorry to hear about your loss.

Are these the same guys behind http://www.stopshop.co.za . The contact number on that site is 011 083 5800, which I suspect is a SkypeIn number. If you dial it,
the ringing is "unTelkom-like" , but someone will answer. The guy who answered sounded English, not Australian.

BTW, it looks like www.dvdsetshop.co.za is now closed.
