The US, the West, Israel send aid to Haiti, what about the oil rich Arab nations?

Israel sent aid + 120 medical staff,

Google turns up nothing for "arab haiti aid"?
 
but Seriously, these Arab nations are not interested in helping - they're interested in money and spending their money on building up the nations with all kinds of ridiculous buildings and stuff. Helping Haiti wont benefit them so why do it?
 
Well, at least some of the Muslim community is doing something, even if they are not rich Arabs.

MRCS To Raise Funds For Haiti Earthquake Victims

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) has launched a fund-raising campaign for Haitian earthquake victims.

MRCS communications manager Suhana Mohamed Salleh said Friday that the campaign was in response to the preliminary emergency appeal for US$10 million by the Geneva-based International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC).

She said the funds collected would be sent to the IFRC which would, in turn, relay it to the Haitian National Red Cross Society.

According to Suhana, the US$10 million was for nine months of emergency operations in the Caribbean island nation of some 9.7 million people, which was wrecked by a major earthquake this week.

The money is to assist 100,000 people from 20,000 families in Haiti, which is one of the world's poorest countries.

The Haitian Red Cross believed 45,000 to 50,000 people had died and that three million more were hurt or left homeless.

The MRCS is contactable at 03-42578122.

Cheques can be made payable to the MRCS International Relief Fund, with Haiti Earthquake written at the back.

They don't give a rats ass about the rest of the world cause they don't get earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes or tsunamis. If they did, their oil rich veins would rupture and they'd have not control.
 
Israel are probably there to harvest as many organs from the dead and dying without consent as possible. It's why they are sending medical personnel.

Ya Israel are dodgy buggers, the US have always helped out and i guess having 45000 US residents there they should be helping out.
 
has the arab states ever helped anyone besides the Dubai thing. why have they never given the palestinians a piece of land?
 
Considering that Israel receives $30 Billion aid from the US they're obliged to do the same.

Most of this is PR since the most dnations are private, I accidently came acrooss the Islam channel news on DSTV and they had a haiti fundraiser drive going.
 
I believe the Arabs sent tons of AID for the Tsunami relief in Indonesia, 5yrs ago.

Problem with these donation drives is that most aid goes to waste and money goes missing, people act on their emotions and people abuse it.

The ones there helping out not the amount pledged is what counts.

Edit: BTW where is the source OP? people are already praising Israel and ignoring the link showing an arab state already pledged. Bunch of drones.

THe UAE already started their relief efforts, just because western media does not report it does not mean it does not happen.

Well done to those who have sent aid. You have done the morally correct thing (no matter whether there are other motives or not). To the rest... your turn will come when you need aid and you wont get it.
