Need someone to show me the ropes

Hey,

I just bought a trial for WoW. And I've never played an MMORPG (lots of Diablo i & 2 though). Can someone please help me level and give me some tips? Maybe create an alt character and play with me? At the moment im level 4 Hunter night elf but I dont know wtf im doing and want to start over with a more interesting class maybe?

Basically I have no friends that play WoW so I need friends :P

If you join on Scarshield Legion, I have four 16 slot bags and enough gold to see you through to a nice high level including mount+training for any S'african newcomer to WoW.

Thanks so much for offering. I cant remember which realm I'm on off the top of my head but I have only invested about an hour in the other realm so not biggie. I will create a char on Scarshield and join tonight. I dont quite understand what those slot bags mean but I know that gold buys items + mounts :) Whats your nick?

On the bottom right hand corner of your UI (User Interface) you'll see you have a 16 slot Backpack, with 4 empty slots to the left of it.

You can equip bags in those slots to increase your inventory space. Getting 4x16slot bags to put in there will help you immensely, since it allows you to carry more stuff. :)

Also, a good way to make money if you don't know the game too well is by taking gathering professions like mining/herbalism and skinning.

You can buy the trial CD's from CNA for R5, you basically pay for the CD with the content files on, the actual key is free.

I bought some to use as WoW-branded Coffee mug coasters. :D

Well i bought the game for R110 from take2. With the DVD's and 1 month subscription.

I have to admit, horde does seem more mature than alliance. There are tons of kids on alliance side. Had it not been for the mentality that spawned the dreaded "Barrens Chat" I would've rerolled horde long ago.

I made an orc huntard on Twilight Hammer aaaages back, but never went further with him.
 
I can also recommend some addons (get from Curse.com) and they are:

Questhelper
Titan
Recount
Atlasloot and Atlas loot enhanced

If you are leveling up a hunter I recommend leveling as a beast mastery spec with a gorilla or turtle pet.

Some of the fastest leveling I have done is on my hunter, lock and shammy (idk why) so thoes toons will prob get you to 80 the fastest.

I would also suggest taking herbalism and alchemy as your trade skills as these two make quick easy money (most of the time anyway).

I'm gonna try play on a but before I get add-ons. Also I'm playing on a Mac so not sure if they are all supported.
