Pdanet as modem

I am not sure if it's pdsnet or my iPhone but here is my problem.

I use my iPhone as a modem to connect to the net with my Elonex Webbook. Well when I connect tot he WiFi at work I can access any website but via my iPhone i cannot get on FACEBOOK GMAIL or FNB websites. I have googled the error mesage
Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

One of the post said that after changing the router there problem was solved, but where does that leave me, it's not like I can go and swop out my freaking iPhone.

I am using my MTN sim in the Iphone. Everything worked fine until a few days ago so any suggestion will be appreciated thanks

Why don't you just tether normally with your iPhone?

Go to www.unlockit.co.nz on your mobile and create your own APN signature.

Restart the phone and you will be able to use Internet Tethering normally, without the need of using 3rd party apps from Cydia ;)

Works 100% - i've tested it. Just make sure if you gonna create your own one, that you have the correct MTN APN.

I have always used the MTN apn "Internet". I have done what they say o. That link but still the TETHER option is not available. What is my next step? I have restarted my iPhone twice :confused:

Weird cos it worked with me perfectly. Instead of creating your own APN profile, select it from the carrier list. MTN is in that list at the bottom under 'ZA'. If this doesn't work, keeping the profile, add this repo to Cydia: http://sinfuliphonerepo.com and Install 'Enable Tethering for 3G/S' from that repo.

Well I tried everythin and nothing worked. The sinful repo had one thing that worked. PDANET CRACKED :D and now I am back on withouot restriction. Thanks for the help limnos. :p
