Court rejects anti The Pirate Bay appeal

RIAA spent so much money paying off and buying out the Swedish political industry guess they have not spent enough on poltics in Norway. Go Norway :D
 
Does anyone still care about RIAA ?

Surely they've realised by now you can't hold back a torrent ( 'scuse pun ) with a small sieve .

Do you sue the department of Roads because criminals drive on them?

They are doing a job of shutting down the sites though, many many big sites are not longer operating with illegal stuff.

I hve never seen a more irrelevant statement.

Fact: fruit is healthy and cheap. People don't buy it.
Fact: newspapers do not cost a lot but people chose to read news free online.

Perhaps I came across someone who does not support PirateBay when I do. I was just trying to say that implying that people don't buy music because it is expensive is absolute BS. These days music costs little more than the internet costs to download it on. The fact is people want free music and are not willing to pay for stuff they actually find valuable. It doesn't take rocket science to understand that people are cheap by nature.

Yes people would rather buy extra food, clothes or go on holiday than spend the money on something which can be had for free.

I never even heard of ThePirateBay until it made news after it was being sued a few years ago... now I go there almost every day and have downloaded at least 3tb of stuff!
 
Hmm I think one needs to be moral here because the basis for a argument and one to counter argue are never ending. I am so tired of people thinking that it's ok to download because they find music expensive. the same logic is found amongst car thieves who supply cars much cheaper than they cost at the car dealer. There are other reasons to not support the pirate bay like the fact that people download child porn there.

As a matter of interest I would like to ask how many people find MS Windows expensive and yet ignore Linux? It is a discussion that can go on for days. I buy almost 90% of the stuff I use which implies that 10% of the time I don't. I can agree that the times i don't are due to finances, although I most certainly will always pay for something I find value in.

Good then I expect that sales of newspapers will skyrocket again with gadgets like e readers :P
