Our bankrupt and incompetently staffed municipality is supplying us with sewage in stead of potable water.

To think that I actually pay to drink someone else’s s—t . Well I’m going approach the municipality tomorrow and tell them that I’d rather drink/eat my own s--t, at least I’m know the source of my own intimately and I’d be saving money.

If you want to know more, go to http://www.jacarandafm.com/kagiso/c...n=Detail&pid=6182&Water-stinks--full-of-worms also google (or what ever) “madibeng pulse” and “Kormorant”

“The Madibeng Municipality mayor on Monday revealed the situation at the Hartbeespoort Dam was receiving urgent attention and would be resolved soon..” he he he another empty promise.

yeah I invested in a 5 stage filter on my drinking tap a long time ago- round about the time there were high estrogen warnings in the water.......
best investment ever, the water is clear and tastes great

What more proof do people need that ANC is a FAIL government. I would take that ***** water to the mayor, as is, and make him drink it. He will soon have the problem fixed then.

Welcome...Welcome to freedom..eAfrica, Freedom to do as you choose instead of delivering on your promise and job, Freedom to steal and take whatever you need to "survive". (According to Malema there is a lot where that come from). .....Freedom to squander public tax funds for personal use, cars, trips, goods and services. Freedom to ruin the last standing bastion in this African continent. Viva Freedom.....Viva Mandela...Viva Zuma.....Viva Malema ...Viva 2010 soccer....Viva a bankrupt South Africa.

One would think that the major would get the same water as everyone else?

I first had 2 filters on my salad bowl tap for drinking water but as I thought about the Eskom fiasco it came to me that the water supply needed to be treated with great suspicion. I doubted the filters were enough. And why wait until I got sick? I got a Waterwise water purifer. This machine makes about enough drinking water for a day in a few hours. It boils the water to steam, killing bacteria and viruses, then it cools back to water. Tastes like water should. The Model 400 I got costs about R3,000, I think. Go to waterwise.com to read more. If you want to get one, ask the US company for the name of their agent here. If you buy direct from her you will save a few hundred Rand. I know I saved as my brother got his from a shop and paid more.

Just because water comes out of the tap does not mean it is safe to drink.

well, purified water isn't that good for your health either, look at Britain for example (have you seen those women's teeth?!), I do agree that it is better then drinking sewerage but your body needs the minirals in to build anti bodies, having to sterile water can cause long term issues, such as your liver packing up (due to weak anti bodies)

His bodyguard would spit in your face and beat your head in leaving you a vegetable.

A friend of mine was in charge of water purification for a large town and he had plenty of horror stories about what went on with municipal officials

The minerals in mineral water are dissolved rocks. Your body cannot do anything with those. You need organic minerals that come from animals and plants to survive.

wow I really wished I had read this thread 20 min ago before I took a shower

Radio Jacaranda is trying to interview the officials this morning, not sure what time

there are filters that have a final mineral block, that puts all the minerals back in if you are concerned with that.... That said even if they dont have that in, just imagine how bad all that chlorine, bacteria, fluoride etc that is our water is for you
