Hi all,

We need to get the transcripts from the ADSL Icasa hearing. Icasa is not responding to my email requests for an electronic copy.

We especially need the transcripts from the days that Telkom presented and responded. The day that I was there, Telkom said a couple of things that I want to challenge.

What was said in the Icasa hearings, as far as I understand, is similar in legal standing to someone testifying in a court. Could a legal person advise us on whether this is true or not? (Hint hint Dominic, etc :D ).

If Telkom said anything directly misleading/outright false, then we can lodge a complaint with a relevent body (maybe Icasa?) accusing Telkom of perjury.

If anyone has any idea on how we can get these transcripts, which are technically part of the public domain (i.e. Icasa cannot refuse to let us see them), please post here. Also, what are your thoughts on this idea?

methinks rpm said that ICASA reckoned the doc will be ready this week.. then again Peapod mentioned the unthinkable - that Telkom may have had prior access to this document, which I would think is entirely possible taking into account the incestual relationship with Telkom <---> DoC <---> ICASA

Icasa told me that the transcripts were available to be read at Icasa. Subsequent requests for an electronic version have gone unanswered.

hey Debbie2 - not really sure what the status would be of an Inquiry of this nature. Not court proceedings - assume nobody took an oath before presenting...but certainly a matter of public record.

so perjury - a crime - may not be an option but massive embarassment certainly is

if not done by then i will grab a copy of the transcripts at the beginning of next week (going to stay at ICASA for a couple of days :))

please let us know what you find....it would be useful to know if Telkom have an advance copy of the ICASA rulings...

Hi,

Once you have received the transcripts post it on the web site for us to read. Or alternativley pop the link/s

I have some queries which i would like to see answered.

When will there be another POLL against Telkom.
Will be more that willing to get out there and help out.
Got plenty of people that would love to have the chance to strike back at the giant.

Any insite into this query would be Nice!

Thanks in advance
