THE Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has for the first time admitted that it could run out of water before the Fifa World Cup in June, and is preparing a crisis plan to address the problem.
The plan, which is still being drafted, is set to be finalised by March, when details will be revealed.
The admission comes as the critical water shortage in the region worsens by the day, with the municipality being blamed for failing to implement restrictions sooner when key role- players agreed on a plan of action seven months ago.
