They're in testing phase at the moment. Let them know there are A LOT of people waiting for this service.
Oh.. and it should be a free service, not the R9,99 a month they think is okay to charge.

You see your voicemails like SMS messages, threaded, and you can listen to any message in any order iirc

It's now available.
You have been able to receive your voicemails as an SMS for over a year now. Its a VAS product that you can add via vodacom4me. I activated it earlier this month and it has to be the most useful feature in a long time. Sitting in an all day meeting and keeping track of all the voicemails without ever leaving the meeting :)

When I got my iPhone I found that I couldn't use the iphone apn until I enabled it in the services section of the vodacom4me website. After I enabled it it took a couple of hours to start working. Not sure if this is still required/possible but maybe worth checking out.

Mine was activated 2-3 mins after I SMS'd that 123 number.
But I called my self and left a voice message but nothing has come through yet, only the SMS from 121 stating I have a message..

I activated mine a while ago and really love it, now if only more people left me messages...
What i really like is the fact that i can record new custom messages right from the interface without dialing 121. Nice to be able to say I'm gone for the weekend, please efff off and then change it again on monday at the tap of a button.

Looks like we are charged for data. According to Vodafone in Australia, a 5 min message takes about 50kb - must be low quality audio. Of that's true then the service won't use much of your data :)
