Cape Town - The SA Communist Party on Wednesday accused opposition parties of "missing the point" by staging a walk-out in the National Assembly.
"It is sad that the opposition has missed the point and sought to represent themselves as... pressure groups whose sole intention is to appropriate the priorities as outlined in the State of the Nation address for their narrow class interests," SACP spokesperson Malesela Maleka said.
"The clever disguise in the name of meritocracy, efficiency and capacity of the class interests of the propertied class must be continuously exposed.
"The walk-out by the DA and its black clone in the form of Cope represents how these mavericks have no interest in any open public debate whatsoever but grandstanding," said Maleka.

What is wrong with the tripartite alliance? If you're not one of us you're one of them, is the attitude. They are so closed minded that they're going to lead this country to ruin.
You disagree with the ruling party and they throw you out of Parliament. Isn't the speaker supposed to be impartial?
This country isn't being led into lawlessness it is lawless. However, the ruling party has decided you may not speak out against the president, a man who has supposedly taken and "oath or solemn affirmation to obey, observe, uphold and maintain the Constitution and all other laws of the Republic".
