0629 GMT [Dow Jones] Telkom's (TKG) ZAR5/share special dividend is "a surprise", says analyst. "There had been a rumor that a special dividend could be paid, but I did not expect it and certainly not such a big one," he says. Special dividend is on top of a ZAR4 final dividend, taking its full year distribution to ZAR9. Telkom closed Friday at ZAR117, nudging all-time highs, and seen breaking new ground Monday. (ANM)

Almost... Share prices will already reflect the R4 ordinary divident, but if the R5 special divident was not expected by the market share prices will fall approx R5. After that market forces will start driving the price again.
