I live in a commune with 8 other people, and we recently decided to get a 4 Mbps line and use Afrihost as our ISP.
The idea was that each of us would load an “internet usage monitor” on our computers, and in the beginning of the month each one would pay their for the amount they are going to use .
The problem is that I can’t find any good freeware (or pirated) monitors! Most monitor the time spent online, while others like ShaPlus monitors the network traffic, giving inflated usages.
A plus point is that we each know each other personally, so at least nobody is going to be spiteful and go over their cap or reset their counters.
Any advice would be helpful.
