While a Cosatu-affiliated union leader described Julius Malema as part of a "marauding gang" threatening to destabilise the ANC, the youth leader in turn warned the federation's Zwelinzima Vavi to stop demanding lifestyle audits.

At the centre of it all is a low-intensity war triggered by succession tensions ahead of the ANC's 2012 national conference, following skirmishes over the 2007 conference.

The youth league wants to replace ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe with Deputy Police Minister Fikile Mbalula. This has angered Cosatu and the SA Communist Party as they see the coup intentions as motivated by anti-communist sentiments.

I think Juju's days are numbered, he has made too many enemies before he had enough power. I've always said it was Mantashe we should be watching and not some little upstart.

Hell, the SACP and NUMSA sometimes even surprise me:

The union also backed the SACP's call that all the names of people, including politicians, who applied for state tenders should be made public to prevent the "depletion" of taxpayers' money.

No evidence, just threats as per usual. All bark and no bite, which means he can still be tamed.

Now the question is, how long will Zuma drag this dead weight around with him or will he cut Malema loose. If he doesn't Juju may drag Zuma down with him at the next Polokwane, remember it was the left that put Zuma there in the first place!
 
i still maintain i will be very surprised if malema's political career reaches great heights. he doesn't seemed considered at all when he opens his mouth. and that means one day you will say the wrong thing against someone with power.
 
I think male-enima is meant to draw attention away from zoomer. The idea was as long as everyone is gasping at male-enima's latest comment, no one is counting zoomer's children, his girlfreinds or shabby shakes...

I've always wondered who is actually behind Malema. I suspect the next few months is going to be very interesting, especially after the World Cup once the pressure to behave is gone.

And don't forget that the ANCYL are promising to expose the Mamparalanga senior ANC members who are allegedly killing off their opponents!!

U Gotta watch Winnie too, she's suddenly appearing at Malema's events calling him her grandchild. And he is showing archived video of Mandela's first interview after being released where he said he supported nationalisation and was still a communist at heart. Of course he could only have got the video from Winnie or one of her kids.

Add to that the fact that she says she was not invited to the Victor Verster prison release simulation held on the anniversary of Mandela's release last week, plus her interviews with the police reservists where she strongly criticised the ANC and the government, and you see a rift at least between her and the ANC. She is very cunning, even if Malema is stupid. So I think this is one partnership we should watch very carefully. May well be the new devide in the ANC. Hopefully Sexwale and Phosa are not still on her side...

Guys, don't say too much ........

we cannot destroy anc, but the only way we can achieve it is their "self-destructive device activated". What we need to do is sit back and watch.

Don't let them know what are the consequences of what they are doing now .......... so we have to KEEP QUIET.

Next few months......... show on. :D

How does dead weight drag dead weight around.?
Many in the ANC are already seeing Zuma for the incompetent embarrassing dead weight he is.
 
The problem is that their infighting completely destroys their ability to run the country, and dramatically increases the political plays and gestures (corruption).
It also makes it damn near impossible to hold somebody accountable because they keep swapping "the accountable" around.

They're sneaky underhanded bastages. The sooner we're rid of this lot, the sooner we can actually build a country, and stop playing musical platinum chairs.
