Yep, some damage control would be in order!

British comedian Jonathan Ross has, after a celebrity playtest last night, concluded that Project Natal needs more work.

"OK. Before bed. Natal on Xbox impressive. Not quite there yet I think but they have 'til october and if they get it right... sky's the limit," Tweeted 'Wossy'.

The flamboyant chat-show presenter was filmed at a london event swatting balls away in one of Natal's previously exposed mini-games.

Of note is the fraction-of-a-second difference between Wossy's actions and those replicated on screen. A video caption assures us this will be trimmed as we get closer to the device's autumn launch.

"They say that be release all lag issues will be resolved and response time should be nearly instant," the pop-up read.

When, Why, How come?

Peter Molyneux has moved to dampen fears over Project Natal lag, insisting there have been "countless revisions of cameras and countless revisions of software" since the demo units shown to press and celebrities in recent weeks were produced.

Following a recent London showcase, British TV personality Jonathan Ross commented via his Twitter account that Natal was "not quite there yet", which prompted Microsoft PR to confirm the hardware and game demo Ross played dated back to summer 2009.

Molyneux, who hosted an event with non-specialist media early last week at the same venue in London's Fitzroy Square, expressed his frustration at not being able to show the latest iteration of the Xbox motion-control technology.

Well of course its not quite there yet, otherwise it would be out, but come Nov(?) it will be awesome

of course natal is not quite there now, it was only a demoa nd they still havent decided on the right name for the add on natal(sorry for all theu durbanites that got all exited :) )is still its development codename.

and since the wii stole a load of the pie from sony and microsoft, both of them are jumoing at making their consoles do the same with the added benifit of better graphics.

Ag shame, It was not a review, it was a comment made by a well known person, a public figure, to test drive the NATAL in an show off event. When he gave his personal opinion, it was deemed urgent enough and worthwhile by Microsoft to respond quickly and do damage control. Obviously you missed all that as usual. Nothing to do with personal bias I presume. Read a bit next time round.

It's so difficult for YOU, is it not? He test drove it on a invitation from show organizers and gave his opinion. You are trying very hard the detract of the facts and create another off topic DOLBY thread. Beat it boy!

o people are going crazy over this Natal thing, even with the exposure of a delay from user input timing in at over a tenth of a second consistently, the would-be Natal fan-base has been placated by Peter Molyneux’s comments that there have been “endless updates” to the Natal and surely it will be great. His boldface lies in the gaming industry are widespread and well known, not to mention this guy has a knack for incomplete game design in his games. Black and White and Fable are prime examples of what I’m talking about here, great game ideas with no follow through equals a very sloppy game experience that feels incomplete

Did you watch the PS2 comparison video. No surely not, some are just too cowardly to do so. So why should SONY bring out something they already had and still have as a huge improved version on the PS3? They are adding an excellent "dildo" to enhance the PS3 cam "EyeToy". Yet they can do all that the M$ demo's do some even on the PS2. S what is new then! Oh, I forgot a whole shiitload of sheep believing everything, even all the lies, of the M$ spindoctor!

Oh really? so the Eyetoy is SPEC of SPEC and ability for ability a match to what Natal is supposed to be?

And I'm not talking about Sony's up and coming version, but the one on the PS2, since you claim it can do everything the Natal is supposed to do.

I can't comment on a PS3 (negativly) because I don't own one now?
But a comedian can comment on an Xbox (negativly) but he doesn't own one?
Now when I did have one, was I allowed to comment then - or only if iit was positive?

Just trying to see the logic (or lack thereof)

Now chill in your reply ... you'll get us all banned again
