Isn't this ludicrous? Why would one wanna buy these? To resell? Oh well.. I mean Xvid's of these you can download on uncapped. Basically gettin' 'em free. If not uncapped that's 650mb x 77 = 50GB, which is R29 x 50GB which is R1450. R3000-R1400 = R1600 difference, bare in mind there's no 'quality' difference. Damn...

There is a quality difference unless you're watching on a portable media player with a low resolution screen. Those XVID files will be 640x480 or similar, will have hardcoded subs or none and will look worse as they won't be 720by576 but 640x480 or less. Then you have to burn them somewhere or store them on a HDD, so don't forget the cost of CDRs, DVD-Rs or a new HD to keep that 50GB somewhere - with his collection you're getting them on factory pressed DVDs in jewel cases.

I understand dude.. I didn't rule out the quality absolutely. I meant as in, it's the same thing to watch an Avi and a DVD on a 74" flat. You notice nothing significant on the DVD as oppsed to the Avi really. Most computers today come with a 160+gb HD so, I won't buy any kind of storage. I'll happily store them on my PC as I have 500GB.

Under R40 per DVD is a fair price. Not everybody wants to watch movies in AVI format (sometimes with stereo only, codec errors and glitches all over the place!).

Original is best.

God please strike down people who compress movies down to 650Mb. Send them to hell where they belong. And make sure they get extra-painful torture for eternity.

If you can't tell the difference between a DVD and a 650Mb copy of a movie, then I'd suggest a visit to an optometrist is in order. Or maybe a white cane and a dog.
