"CANADIAN company HowzitOnline is targeting South Africans fed up with the high cost of phone calls with its new international internet dialling service.

The internet telephony service for home and small-office users promises an 80% discount compared with Telkom's standard rates, with a call to a landline in New York costing $0,04 a minute or $0,05 to London."
 
With Skype costing $0.026 to the US and UK I dont see myself switching. Especially with the added convenience of being able to get local numbers overseas where people can call me.
 
Voip providers cheaper than Skype

For the price concious check www.myvoipprovider.com for even cheaper rates to the US (US$0.01) or the UK (US$0.011).

Skype barely features in the top 25 cheapest voip providers.
 
I have no doubt there are cheaper but I find the SkypeIn invaluable.
