"AMD held its analyst day on Friday and presented a 163 slides long Powerpoint presentation. AMD's current roadmap shows plans well into 2007 with 32-way server chips, IO virtualization, TCP offload and more.

Next year the company will launch Pacifica and Presidio, and also Aero Glass graphics. And a new core with DDR3 and PCI Express generation 2 support will follow in 2007. AMD also said that the core which supports DDR3 will also feature support for WiMAX and will use less than 32 watts."

Real games maybe .... but in general you need a dedicated aircon just to be able to leave the damn PC on ;-) ... not to mention the additional cost of running a power hungry pc each month ...

I run both Intel & AMD systems btw... I would currently spend ALL my hardware investment funds on AMD gear long before I consider another Intel CPU...

But these are the roots of a flame war... so let leave it at that ;-)
