Hout Bay WUG (Cape Town) ?

Hey

I'm taking a great chance that maybe there are a few people on these forums based in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Hout Bay is a valley so it shouldnt be a problem.

Is there any interest? I have about 2 people that would join...

direct line of sight across the bay????approx 2.3 kilometres

The radiowaves do funny things when transmitting over water...salt water especially you need to make sure u hav powerful antennas and u set them to horizontal polarisation
 
Daywalker not a bad idea changing the polarity.
I currently have a link that goes moslty over sea water. it's more then 10 km. maybe 12 - 15km

i'm not sure the max speed but it's +- 1 mbit might me more.

so it is very possible if you have LOS
