I think its about time an ISP offered a prepaid uncapped ADSL account.

Maybe G-Connect might have the answer since they already have a 30 broadband pass?

Openweb does this already, they got the Mweb accounts as Once-off accounts. Buy it/use it/cuts off at end of the month

Openweb, You pay, you get, you use.. 30th/31st the account is then Finito (Does not renew on the 1st)

Unless u paid again on the 27th of Openweb, and let them know. (Send them the Deposit Slip or pay via Credit Card)

What exactly is prepaid uncapped?

You pay, and your uncapped data gets carried over to the next month?

you've lost me
The way I understand it a prepaid account means you pay once off and use the data until you have none left, without the constraints of month-to-month. Some may be valid for up to a year while GConnect is valid for 30 days from date of purchase.
But you want a prepaid uncapped account?? For how long must it be valid for before you have to pay again, because there's no cap... I really think I'm missing what you're trying to say...

Perhaps he means a once of, thus uncapped internet valid for one month/30days, paid via EFT
or a voucher like the current axxess semi-shaped prepaid from engen/pick and pay or such

No debit order or credit card required...

about the only thing that could make sense

Sorry but I dont understand this thread.:wtf:

You can currently buy an uncapped account for a month from one ISP and not use that ISP ever again, you are not locked into a contract.

Its like a voucher, so instead of paying month to month and having to give a 30day notice before canceling the account just dies until you purchase another one.
My bro wants to do that, keep his telkom acc 5ig int/30gig local for downloading and an uncapped 384k to purchase when he wants just for browsing

So you don't think getting uncapped for browsing is a major overkill? :wtf:

Like people have pointed out you can buy an uncapped account for 1 month, you don't have to renew it. But I guess you are limited to calender months, rather than 30 days starting anytime.

Exactly what I mean. Just buy a once off voucher and use it which lasts for 30 days.

This is such a dumb idea. Unless you're willing to pay for a 3/6/12 month increment, 30 days is just the same as a month to month basis.

Just ask for it when you order and it will be done.
The only issue is that the 30 days isn't 30 days. It's per calendar month and prorata for the first month.
As long as you make it clear then every IS reseller can do this for you on the uncapped accounts.
P.

You can do this EASY with the afrihost 29 rand per month account. In the client zone, change it to uncapped, then set it to change back to 1gb at end of month. You will only pay for uncapped for the month you're in. Voila. I heart afrihost's client zone because it just works.
