Hehe, isn't this the title that the Cobras are most likely going to win?

It's a pity no-one really cares about the Supersport Series title though... :p
 
Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realise matches started today. Rillee is a good prospect for the future

The Warriors definitely seem limited over specialists

Cobras have this one wrapped up. Warriors didn't do enough in the first part of the comp.
 
Great for Rossouw, I'm a big fan of his. I was hoping he'd get called up for the T20 WC but he hasn't been in his best form lately (until now of course).
I'm a Cobras fan, but the main reason I care about this competition is to see all the talent coming through. There's definitely a lot of young talent around SA at the moment.

He struggled during the last part of the pro40 and pro20. Wasn't respecting the bowlers enough seemed to want to hit everything instead of giving himself time to get in. But good to see him bounce back with a hundred and now a 300 in consecutive games. He has been selected for both odi and test sides for the a team tour of sri lanka.

I am really exicited about our young batsmen, the bowlers and all rounders are a worry though.

1) 3 South Africans have scored 300 plus in a day and they are Barry Richards, Graeme Smith and now Rilee Rossouw. Rossouw is the only one to do it in SA domestic cricket.

2) He became the 9th youngest batsman in the world to score a triple century. Others to do it before their 21st birthdays are Bradman, Miandad, Worrell and Walcott.

3.) Elgar and Rossouw have gone past a 1000 runs in the top tier of SA domestic cricket this season. Only Barry Richards (twice) and Zander De Bruyn (once) have done that.

4.) Elgar and Rossouw's partnership of 481 is the highest in the history of SA cricket and the 3rd highest 2nd wicket partnership in the world.

5.) The last batsman in SA domestic cricket to get 100 before lunch was Herschelle Gibbs for WP in 96/97.

That was Elgar's 10th FC century and Rossouw's 7th.

These 2 batsman have complimented each other so well in their short and young careers and have now got 6 100-plus parnerships in 19 matches together.

even as a titans supporter myself, i'm so glad for these 2, they have the cricketing world at their feet, and if they can hit their strides, things are looking awesome for the proteas, a middle order consisting of de Villiers, Rossouw, Elgar, is going to be awesome one day.

Just don't hope they get rushed into the test side...
 
That is really impressive, they should be knocking on the test squad pretty soon.
 
Can not believe the titans won the match. But like it has been said in this thread: Awesome batting! I hope they get a change at an enlarged practice group training week to show what they can do.

Great to see SA has talent for the future.

They are both in the SA a side. Corrie van Zyl has said they need to prove themselves at that level. So should be good test vs sri lanka.
