Erooooooo

Soon to be disenfranchised Neotel prime customer here.

Will be moving to a 4mb adsl uncapped isp and was wondering a few things.

What would you all recommend for an isp?

What I am looking for is the following and this is where I need your help:
From all the recently announced packages who has the fastest ping? (ping results to 87.237.38.200 would be appreciated).
Does the isp have a news server or allow you to get access to one?
Good customer service, allows you to pay through eft?
A screenshot during the day and one at night of a speedtest result would induce nirvana in one such as I.

Ooh ooh and a easy cancellation process as I expect a lot of churn in the market the next few months and would like to keep my options open.

Pls help us from the neotel forums. It's not our fault. Were still waiting for a bandwidth meter, which sources say are imminent!

Get the mweb one. More expensive than afrihost, but at least it appears to be coping better with the influx of uncapped users.

Save your money. Invest in pigeons and flash drives or travel to the Far East a lot with a portable hard drive. It'll be cheaper, faster, and cause you less frustration and disappointment.

Sorry I am not particularly helpful, am still a bit acid about my recent experiences with Axxess.

Frankly, I would wait a month at least, before signing anything with anyone offering "uncapped" ADSL.

Get a capped account from Afrihost (R29) or Axxess for 1GB and top up when needed. See what the feedback is in May for "uncapped".

That's pretty good advice. Sit and watch for a while before taking the plunge.
