Thought I would post this to see how many of the My Broadband members are still on the "old" uncapped packages (and more expensive!!) - and what your reasons are for not moving over to the "new" so called uncapped packages. Are there still some "draadsitters" among us??
My reasons for not moving are the following:
1. I had my doubts that the new packages would ever be able to deliever the same quality of service that I was used to. I see myself as a "heavy user". (It looks to me that Mweb are about the only other ISP that I would go with on these so called new uncapped packages). Many of the AUP's/FUP's stated quite clearly that these packages were not for heavy users.
2. I started off from day one with Axxess (on their uncapped + fibre package :R999.00/month). The quality of the service that they have given me from day one has only been the best. I don't do online gaming but do alot of downloading (all legal stuff - of course!!
). I max out my line all the time and still manage to get 500G's a month (only news files, no torrents!!) - and that is only after hours and on weekends. I can honestly say that through this whole process nothing has changed wrt the quality of my service. (speeds, downtimes etc)
3. I can still afford to pay R999.00 a month for that type of service - BUT it must stay the same as what it has been up to this point. If things change in the future I might have to move on - like the rest have done. I expect to get the same uncapped service from them - no matter what.
As I said, would be great to hear your reasons/views on the matter.....
