International leading company specialising in transportation services and freight is recruiting a dynamic Mobile Developer with 3 years plus experience. This company has more than 140,000 permanent employees worldwide, servicing more than 220 countries through 375 airports. This company has the largest all-cargo aircraft fleet in the world.

Type of position: 6 month contract

About opportunity:
Work as part of the In-House IT team, with the specific task of re-designing, maintaining and modifying the mobile solution. Perform a variety of mobile programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Required programming language – C #.260 Mobile devices in-field communicate collection and delivery information via Wireless and GPRS networks nationwide with the aim of implementing to Sub-Saharan regions as soon as possible. Knowledge of the local networks and data transmission policies is important to enhance the performance of the solution.
Skills and experience required:
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Mobile Developer in C#.
• Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications.
• Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes.
• Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
• Relevant IT degree.
• Experience with local network providers and data transmission policies.
Job functions:
• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology including communication methods used.
• Refine data and format final product.
• Maintain and modify program; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
• Test and develop programming modifications.
• Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
• Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
• Analyze performance of program and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
• Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
• Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
• Write and maintain programming documentation.
• Analyze server and device based software solutions compatibility with company requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
