Anyone notice R37 do broadband 2 discount on Telkom invoice ?

Mine been like that for ages..

I basically had 3gb (now 5gb) data and a 512 line. I upgraded to 4mbps. So that is equivalent to a Do 3 package, so they give me discount. Just makes sense.

If you have a Do bundle Telkom bill you full price for the ADSL line and ISP account and the discount is what reduces the price to the advertised amount. It is for accounting purposes and is not a discount on top of what you have seen advertised.

The do bundle is a 384k line + 3GB of data = R258

If you split it. You buy the 3GB Telkom All access [R149] + 384k line [R152] = R301

So it much higher for the same thing. So when you Do broadband they just add a credit note for the difference. So they actually put R301 on the invoice but on the next line credit the difference.

*Remember that your invoice excludes vat. If you include vat the totals will mach up. *

Its the VAT - the R301 includes VAT and the R37 does not - you need to take the discount before adding VAT else you get the R6 difference so Telkom is not ripping us off 0 - I think many people would have noticed by now.

Yes cavedog but if you minus R37 from R301 you get R264 which is not R258 as advertised. Telkon is ripping off of R6 every month.

I have posted on my reply this:
