How many GB have you downloaded from AFRIHOST Uncapped ?

hi Guys,

This is in response to the MWEB download thread, how much have AFRIHOST uncapped subscribers downloaded ?

I have searched the threads but i didn't find a similar thread, apologies if i have missed it, please don't flame me! :)

As of today, 63 GB on a 4mb line.
 
I'm currently sitting on 59gb / 4meg line. One question william riker, is your line speed throttled to 1meg now or are you still getting your full 4meg speed after you've hit 60gb ?
 
up until yesterday i was throttled to 7 kb/s but on friday night i got full speed @ 450 kb/s downloading torrents.

but now i thought it would be up there somewhere especially that its weekend but its back down to 25 kb/s..

youre right, maybe its because i hit 60 gb early this morning, my speed is down
 
Ok thanks will probably be seeing my line drop to 1meg speeds soon.

I still got downloads going at around 300kb/s, but after them I got nothing I want anymore anyways till next week :)
 
After a week of snail pacing after hitting my 30GB mark, I dropped my account and I'm back on my WA capped account. I haven't bothered with the afrihost one since.
 
I'm on about 65gigs and being shaped to death. This has been going on for a while now though, well before I hit 60gigs. Nevermind torrents, it takes 30+ min to load a 4min YouTube clip on my 4meg line (which is also a lot slower 1meg). Normal downloads are also slow and so far Afrihost support has been entirely unhelpful. I understand that there need to be some restrictions but this is just ridiculous.
 
12 gb.. gonna do about 20gb today and see (maybe setting the bar too high)

im on my mweb account now cos AH was dead again...

after the heroics of yesterday, i'm going to be optimistic and give them another try tonight, 450 kb/s, like last night would be nice but i would settle for anything over 200 kb/s..

maybe the moon, stars and the earth were perfectly aligned yesterday, hence the mega speeds...

will we be lucky tonight...?

going to switch over and find out!
 
Reached 62gb, line speed has now been throttled to 1meg, but on the plus side it's actually downloading at what a 1meg line is suppose to be able to do and not some 384 line :) so I should be able to reach 90gb on this for the month.

Speeds are between 140kb/s - 250kb/s for http downloads and watching something on youtube seems fine, but I don't really care about that cause I usually download my youtube videos, will check my torrent later when there's actually something I want to download.
 
speed currently 17 kb/s...

yesterdays 450 kb/s was obviously a fluke.

there was a post here from AH promising better speeds from today and nothing..

i almost changed my mind into staying with them but not anymore..

unless something drastic changes between now and the 24th, its cancellation time.
 
Currently sitting at 121 GB for the month, which is coming to an end in less than 3 hours :)

Shaped to death....

512k line, 384k a/c - best speeds was when that stupid cable went down and then sort of came back up for like 10min, was hitting 60kb...
 
148GB .. Should be +-50GB next month, there were just a few series and movies I had to get in HD before my new TV arrives :p
