:confused:A friend of mine has been banned for life by Telkom after swearing in frustration at an operator.
"He had transferred his line when he moved to another part of town and was enquiring as to why he had not recieved an account. The operator asked him for his new address and in return asked them to tell him what it was to which they refuesed etc"
This led to him blowing his stack and using offensive lasnguage. He was nearly arrested but manged to talk his wasy out of it and ended up with a lifetime ban from ever geting a line.
I agree that he did not behave in a responsible manner and would appreciate any opinions regarding the severity o the punishment.:wtf:

Telkom make me want to swear often. I find it easier to point out how stupid they are and then phone back and get a new operator.

Nearly arrested? Banned from having a line? Nah, tell him to follow it up, to the courts even. They can't 'ban' someone ......

To be fair, those operators probably take a fair old beating all the time, so pushing the envelope so far that they actually ban you from dealing with them must've taken some pretty foul swill. I've found that being calm spoken & reasonable generally sorts out problems a lot better for me than swearing like an angry drunken sailor at a person who hasn't personally wronged me at all.

As a result I've had pretty decent service, even from places like home affairs. (They're still insanely slow, but I've experienced some really good service from front office Home Affairs people.)

Hey, maybe I won't get the business class upgrade that airlines keep handy to placate jerkwads who scream blue murder if a plane is delayed for a bit but I can live with that.

You also don't get the deliberate farts, laxative and spit that the jerks get :D

Yup, Telkom is far less frustrating. Hence my reason for canceling Neohell tomorrow.

But what did he actually say? He must have said some nasties or probably made threats to get such a response from them.
