What are the frequencies used by the Vodacom ? Will my Canadian phone work in SA?

I am thinking about ordering Google's Nexus One phone for use where I live in Canada. It is an unlocked phone. I am an annual visitor to SA and would like to plunk in a Vodacom Simcard when in SA to have a local SA number. My Canadian cell network uses 850 MHz, 1900 MHz, and 2100 MHz frequency bands

Are these the same ones that Vodacom uses? Will I be able to use the phone in SA?

The google nexus one supports all south african bands, including umts 2100, so yes, it will work provided it is not network locked.
