During the Volcano chaos, a bunch of 50 French businesspeople chartered an MD 83 (like the 1time aircraft or the old Kululas ) from Lanseria to Toulouse with a fuel stop in Lagos. Journey time 12+ hours. For the return the Seats- all one hundred and fifty of them were offered by the South African Charter Company to the public back to South Africa for R7500-00 each one way. The charter company admitted that this was not the most comfortable way to travel. I mean can you imagine the legroom of a mango flight from Cape Town to London? There must be a lot of busy physiotherapists, masseurs and chiropracters in Jozi this week.
