Extreme Lag on MWEB and Web Africa

RE: the thread MWEB has "come clean" to the reason why things are so damn slow, but Web Africa??
 
For those of us who don't want to play guess-the-thread and then read through pages of bickering, what is the reason MWEB has given?

Probably cause Web Africa uses Seacom as well. I know IS users are suffering more than Mweb users.

Like I mentioned several times. Web Africa does not use Seacom. So if you have evidence to support it, please come forward.

Here's what they updated with several hours after my initial posts

Clients may experience slow international browsing due to a link down between Amstedam and Rosebank.

SAIX Engineers are investigating.

Relax, my answer was a guess, not an assertion. I honestly dont care.
 
Yea no probs for me, full speed all weekend but there was a bit of lag during the sat maintenance.
 
Hi guys,

As per our forum, http://forums.webafrica.co.za/[SAIX] Slow International connectivity_3629.html and our alerts page, http://webafrica.co.za/status

"Please be aware of slow browsing when browsing to International sites, as there is currently
an issue with the the link between Bellville and Asburn."

This has however been resolved although there is another link down between Amsterdam and Rosebank.

SAIX Engineers are investigating.

We will update our alerts page as soon as we have any further updates.
